Simmons Bank Community Development Specialist in Little Rock, Arkansas
The Community Development Specialist is responsible for helping the bank meets its goals under the CRA Service Test. This position will serve as an expert resource for staff on CRA and volunteer activities that serves LMI communities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Provide training and technical assistance for bank staff on issues related to community development service.
Develop informational material for the CRA Committee of the Board of Directors of the bank on programs and activities related to the company’s performance.
Follow the Bank’s Information Security policies, ensuring that the processing and handling of all customer information and confidential bank information is done in a secure manner and environment.
Manage Federal Home Loan Bank Community Investment Program (AHP, HELP, and SNAP) process ensuring compliance with risk management procedures.
Manage the CRA Representative program which requires working with designated staff persons throughout the bank.
Maintain all CRA Service Performance Evaluation documentation.
Responsible for producing the CRA newsletter Community Development News
Ensuring the CRA page and all corresponding documents on the intranet is updated as needed.
Assist with special projects as needed.

Requires significant level of diplomacy and trust to gain buy-in internally.
Education and/or Experience
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree
3-5 years of similar or related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Leadership experience collaborating with local nonprofits and local government.
An in-depth background in compliance or advanced level knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act preferred.
The selected candidate will have a proven ability to effectively train and instruct others in a formal classroom setting or one-on-one environment.
